Why we started

The Luthiers Corner

At WM Guitars we've never been brand-conscious. One of our founders, Walter Havinga has a degree and many decades of engineering experience. These skills he passed on to his son, Ryan Havinga and also to the WM Team. We look at things differently and from an engineering perspective.

These ideals lead us to small luthiers and manufacturers. We couldn't overlook the technical perfection of their work and the competitive prices they were for sale for without having the premium of a major brand attached to their instruments.

For years we were talking with these brands and luthiers until in 2023 we decided we had to follow our heart.

So The Luthiers Corner was born.

This is our selection of some of the best local luthiers to us. We want to hero their work and bring their amazing craft to the attention of more players.

We've always cherished the personal side of business and this is about as personal as it comes! Direct contact with the owners/manufacturers/luthiers offering custom spec instruments to our lovely customer base!
