The Arkansas is a very loud guitar that is clear and has a complexity in tone normally only seen with guitars many times its price. The quality of the solid German Spruce top and the beauty of the Bocote sides and back are jaw dropping, as is its sound. This guitar responds so well to the player's touch it is a true joy and inspiration to play. All the details in your playing you worked so hard on to get right, are now clearly audible and make you play even better.

The latest developments and quality improvements have all been implemented in the Arkansas: Satin finished neck for perfect playability, Tusq nut and saddle for improved overtones and richness in sound, ebony fingerboard and bridge for an even faster response and more presence. The famous Mayson-design machine heads are made by Gotoh Japan, making these the best in the market.

The new Fishman Flex Plus pickup has discrete controls mounted in the side for volume, treble and bass. The battery access is easily mounted in the lower bout.

Guitar making concepts to this day largely remain determined by the evolution of the flattop acoustic which began in the late 1800’s. SMART CONCEPTS

Head designer Alex Wang worked on the Mayson philosophy for years before the production line came to life. He re-invented the acoustic guitar, combining the soul of old fashioned luthier skills with the accuracy and consistency of modern hi-tech machinery. From changes as simple as embedding the machine head plates into the headstock - eliminating the possibility of sideways rotation as result of string tension, to redesigning the neck-body joint allowing better resonance of the top as well as a more stable fingerboard, Mayson guitars are made by use of visible and non-visible technical concepts that greatly improve sound, stability, strength and aesthetics.
