Stoney Creek Guitars
Frank de Haan started his guitar-building business in 2013 and to commemorate his first five years as an independent luthier, he founded the Stoney Creek brand. Named after a picturesque town in Canada that he visited on his path as a luthier.
Every Stoney Creek guitar is unique. They don’t like to make a series of the same guitars because, in their words, it is too much fun to build something new and different every time. The perk for the player is that you’ve got a one-of-a-kind guitar.
Craftsmanship is a point of pride for Stoney Creek, built by hand with a great eye for detail, every one of their guitars gets lots of special attention throughout the build process.
The Rochelle is one of Stoney Creek's creations, they designed it with a tele and a Les Paul in mind. This particular piece is fitted with chrome hardware and features Gotoh machine heads, a string-through body and is loaded with custom chrome Apollo Specialtrons, this is a serious tone machine. The Quilted/birds-eye maple neck with Ebony fingerboard is something to behold, as well as the flame-maple top in a red velvet finish. This piece was crafted with player comfort in mind, even the arm-rest contour on the edge of the lower bout boasts superior playing comfort when seated.
This piece has a sister instrument, the #000 Rochelle
