Description

A classic design based on the original Strat builder's 62-era guitars. This guitar is a perfect instrument for a beginner or intermediate player. The Aria STG 62 is a marriage of traditional design and modern construction, offering a vintage feel with the advantage of contemporary functions.

They feature a glossy finish, a one-piece maple neck, an alder body with a simple pickguard and a vintage-style 6-point synchronized tremolo bridge. The Alnico V single coil pickups have a pure organic tone, staying authentic to the guitars' Strat roots. A spoke wheel truss rod offers smooth and easy neck adjustment while still bolted on.

Our Thoughts

The STG-62 is an awesome upgrade to the STG-003. Taking what made the STG-003 great, a good comfortable neck with great playability alongside iconic styling and an affordable price tag, the STG-62 takes it to the next level with an upgraded set of hardware and better quality woods. The already good-sounding pickups now really sound the part, based on 62' strat pickups the tone in this thing is awesome. The pickups are great fun to play with and I found myself getting some really great classic tones like Gilmour, Hendrix and Knopfler. Whats more it made me want to keep playing which is something bad or dull pickups never do. The 62' is also a little heavier than the 003 giving it better resonance and sustain.

The STG-62 is a great starter for someone with a little more of a discerning ear looking to learn some classic rock, funk and bluesy music.
